Joining UsEveryone is more than welcome to join us at any of our activities.
When you've got to know us and we've got to know you, you can make a more formal commitment to being a part of the church fellowship by becoming a church member. Membership is open to any regular attender of the church. We encourage people considering church membership also to consider baptism, if they have not already been baptised, as a public declaration of their trust in Jesus Christ. We can arrange membership and/or baptism classes for those interested. |
Any request for membership is put to the whole church at a church meeting in order to be affirmed and accepted by the church.
We recognise that every person who joins the church is a unique individual, and indeed they are joining a family of unique individuals. Therefore there is no set of ‘rules’ which we would seek to impose, but just some general expectations of everyone who is a part of the church family: membership basically entails being in a relationship with one another to form a community of Jesus Christ's disciples. This brings with it the privilege of loving and supporting each other, as well as the responsibility to be mutually accountable to one another.
